Congratulations, you have made it to the course website! So begins our collective introduction to academic composing genres, processes, purposes, strategies, and styles at MSU. On this website, you will find the Course Syllabus (which outlines the goals of the course, expectations, and assignments), the Course Schedule (which outlines, by learning unit, when readings and assignments are due), and detailed information about Assignments.
Over the course of the semester, you will reflect on who you are as a literate human being; sharpen your analytical abilities as a reader and writer in a world inundated with information, rhetoric, signs, and symbols; and develop your own rhetorical maneuvers as thinkers and composers in/of the university and the world.
what do you mean by writing about your writing
I am not quite sure what you mean here–can you be more specific?
For the homework thats what it says after the list you wanted us to bring to class tomorrow
In class, you will be looking at the writing artifacts that I have asked you to gather and bring to class with you. I will also have a questionnaire for you to work on in class that is going to ask you to write about your writing. Don’t worry, it will make much more sense in a few hours!
